Pincents Hill Liaison Panel

Blue Living has established a liaison panel to act as a consistent and reliable channel for dialogue with local residents and stakeholders as well as helping to communicate accurate and up to date information locally.

The tasks of the Pincents Hill Liaison Panel will include:

  • To review, discuss and provide advice on Blue Living's proposals as they are developed
  • To provide input into the process on behalf of local resident, business and other communities
  • To help pass accurate and up-to-date information about the proposals to the wider community
  • To link the proposals to other relevant local initiatives

We intend it to serve as a vehicle through which a constructive two-way dialogue can take place which will provide the foundation for ongoing involvement during the lifetime of the project.

Members of the Panel include:

  • Mr Des Buckley / Mr Ian Pearse: PCSO, Pangbourne Police Station
  • Ms Jenny Cottee: Key member, Tilehurst Globe
  • Mrs Jean Gardner: Chair, Tilehurst Parish Council
  • Mr Bernard Gilbert: Chair, Holybrook Parish Council
  • Rev Yinka Oyekan: Reading Community Church
  • Mrs Niki Sealey: Vice-Chair of Governors, Calcot Junior School
  • Mr Sam Simpson / Mr Norman Frye-Saxby: Reading Transport Limited
  • Mr David Wood: Chair, Theale Parish Council

We have used three criteria in inviting panel members:

1. those who represent the community in a formal capacity and are capable of providing views on behalf of the local community as well as providing the community with accurate information about the project;

2. those who are open-minded about the project - while not necessarily being in favour of development taking place here, they have not resolved to oppose it;

3. those who believe that there is merit in engaging with the project, to ensure that any proposals are appropriate and benefit the local community.
