Why are you proposing to build on land owned by Tilehurst Parish Council?

At the Design Enquiry, Blue Living presented a version of its masterplan which included a strip of residential development and an access across the playing fields owned by Tilehurst Parish Council.

We did this because we believe that development at its best looks beyond land ownership boundaries and assesses what might be done at a wider level to improve an area. It is our view that working with the Parish Council to incorporate the playing fields would have the potential to bring about some considerable benefits for the local area, including improved connections for walking and cycling, improvements to public open space including sports facilities, tree planting and habitat creation and a framework for investment in community facilities.
