FAQs
What will be the impact on schools, healthcare and other public services and facilities?
Using the proposals arising from the Design Enquiry, we have tested the impact that the urban extension at Pincents Hill would have on local services, including schools, health and other facilities. In order to grant planning permission, the local authority must be satisfied that the impact on these services is satisfactorily mitigated through the provision of new facilities on site or through investment in existing or new facilities elsewhere. It is our ambition to invest in new facilities within or as close as possible to the new development, as we believe that high quality facilities provided locally are important in the development of a truly sustainable community.
For further details, see the Pincents Hill outline planning application (Design and Access Statement: Building a Community), available on the planning section of West Berkshire Council's website.
