Who are you consulting with and how?

Blue Living is firmly committed to early and ongoing consultation and public involvement in its projects.

A Design Enquiry was held over five days in September 2008, to which key stakeholder organisations were invited, including the Environment Agency, local ward councillors, Tilehurst Parish Council and other local Parish Councils, local community organisations, schools, churches and many more. In addition, members of the public were invited to take part in open studios at the Design Enquiry over two days, where they had a chance to talk to members of the Blue Living team about their concerns and aspirations for the proposals. Two public meetings were held, one at the beginning to introduce Blue Living and explain the process and the second at the end to report on proposals arising from the enquiry.

The Pincents Hill Liaison Panel was established in October 2008. ThisĀ is anĀ independent panel, and will includes one representative from Blue Living. This acts as a consistent and reliable channel for dialogue with local residents and stakeholders as well as helping to communicate accurate and up to date information locally.

For further details, see the Pincents Hill outline planning application (Design and Access Statement: Community Involvement), available on the planning section of West Berkshire Council's website.
